Over the last decades, the world has experienced an enormous increase in goods consumption. Energy consumption and resulting CO2-emission linked to the extraction of raw materials to support this increase in demand has a high environmental impact.
If we implement the circular economy as a general structure in our production and consumption, we can offset this impact to some extent.
Simply put, the circular economy focuses on keeping materials and products in the economic loop at the highest possible value for as long as possible.
